Concealed Carry Classes

Concealed Carry - New Permit

NRA CCW takes place in a traditional classroom and range environment. Course topics include: Firearm Safety (Mandatory), Pistol Nomenclature and Selecting a Pistol for Self-Defense, Basic Defensive Pistol Skills, Drawing from Concealment, Loading and Stoppage Remediation, Mindset, and Carry Modes and Pistol Concealment, Course meets Colorado requirements for a CCW permit.

Additionally, students may complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. Students will receive reference books, take an NRA CCW Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate listing completed modules, written test score, and Life Fire Qualification Score.

Duration: 8-9 hours

​Concealed Carry - Renewal

The NRA Defensive Pistol satisfies the Colorado requirements for Concealed Carry Renewal. As a result of participating in this course, the student will be able to explain and demonstrate the following: Rules for Safe Gun Handling when carrying a concealed firearm, basic principles of concealment, the difference between cover and concealment, drawing from a holster, levels of mental awareness and confrontation avoidance, and clearing common stoppages and malfunctions. The student will review the Colorado Statutes for Concealed Carry. Students are required to pass a written exam and live-fire qualification with a minimum score of 80%. Upon completion, the student will receive a Proof Of Completion Certificate for Concealed Carry Renewal.

​Concealed Carry - Qualification

This course is only for those who have practiced and are very comfortable with carrying and shooting a pistol. The Concealed Carry Shooter Qualification Course will still cover the State of Colorado requirements for lecture and testing. Here is what we expect from the Shooter: You have actually practiced from concealment! After successful completion of the written exam, the student(s) will move to the Shooting Qualification. Students will have time to review the Qualification before the exercise. Each shooter will step-up and take the Shooting Qualification. There is no additional training. All objective scoring as defined by the National Rifle Association will apply. Students must pass with an 80% or better. Students are allowed two attempts to pass the Shooter Qualification. Failure to pass requires the student to attempt the course at a later date (After practicing). Regardless of Pass or Fail, all students will receive a copy of the NRA Shooter Qualifications for guidance during practice.
